Terms of Use — Raro Camera

This text describes the product and the rules of use. It is not legal advice. The Privacy Policy explains data processing. If the two texts disagree about personal data, the Policy prevails.

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Raro Camera (iOS and Android, com.rarocamera), you agree to these Terms.

The app is offered by Vitor Autorino Lopes (Raro Camera).

If you do not agree, do not use the app and uninstall it.

2. What the app is

Raro Camera is a video capture app that runs on your phone. You can:

• record video (as the device and the chosen format allow);
• use an on-device voice command (“Raro gravar” / “Raro parar”) when the microphone and recognition are allowed;
• use the local replay buffer (the last 15 or 30 seconds embedded in the clip, when that feature is on);
• watch clips saved in the app vault;
• with an active subscription, save the clip permanently and share it through the system sheet.

It is not a social network. There is no feed, no cloud of ours, and no Raro Camera account. We do not translate audio in real time. We do not show third-party ads or put a watermark on the video.

Some product screens (for example lock mode and volume trigger) may not be active in this version. What is not in the app is not promised by these Terms.

3. No account of ours

We do not ask for email, password, or a profile. Purchase identity, when it exists, is the App Store or Google Play account.

To recover a subscription in the same ecosystem (iPhone → another iPhone, or Android → another Android), use Restore purchases in the app. Switching from iPhone to Android (or the other way) does not take the subscription with you: they are different stores, and we have no login to join them.

4. Subscription, prices, trial, and cancellation

• The subscription includes a 30-day free trial when the trial is configured in the store. If you do not cancel before the 30 days end, the store charges the chosen plan.
• The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period (month or year), at the then-current store price for that product, until you cancel.
• How to cancel: iPhone Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions; or Google Play → payments and subscriptions. Cancel at least 24 hours before renewal, within the window the store shows. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the charge.
• Apple or Google charges you, issues the receipt, and stores the payment method — not Raro Camera. We do not see your card number.
• Payment follows App Store or Google Play terms, including refunds and taxes, which are the store’s, not ours.

What the subscription unlocks in this app today:

• Without a subscription: record and watch the result in preview.
• With a subscription (premium): save the clip in the app vault and the system gallery, and share through the native sheet.

Declining the paywall at save time discards that recording’s temporary file. Clips already in the vault stay accessible.

The prices above are v1.0 prices in Brazilian reais. The store may show the localized amount for the store account. If the store sheet and this table disagree at purchase time, the store sheet wins.

5. Permissions and camera use

The app asks for camera, microphone, and, on iOS, speech recognition. On Android, background voice listening uses a foreground service with a notification. You may refuse; whatever depends on that permission stops working.

You are responsible for what you record and share. Do not use the app to capture another person’s image or voice without a legal basis. Do not use it for unlawful content.

Vault clips disappear if you uninstall the app. Make a copy (save to the gallery or share) if you want to keep them.

6. Ownership

The app, the Raro Camera mark, the code, and the visual elements belong to Vitor Autorino Lopes (Raro Camera). These Terms do not sell the software: they grant a personal, non-transferable, revocable license to use the app on your device.

The content you record is yours, within the law. You grant us only what is strictly needed for the app to save, show, export, or share that file on your device, at your request. We do not receive a license to republish your video.

7. Availability

The app depends on the device, the system (iOS 15+ / Android API 24+), and, for subscription and telemetry, the network and the stores. We do not promise that every lens, 4K, 60 fps, or voice combination works on every phone. What the device does not deliver, the app does not invent.

Third-party services (Firebase, RevenueCat, Apple, Google) may go down. Without a network, recording on the device can still work; subscribing and restoring a purchase cannot.

8. Limitation

To the extent allowed by Brazilian law, the app is provided “as is”. We are not responsible for file loss if you uninstall the app without exporting, for use that breaks the law, or for the destination you choose on the share sheet.

Nothing in this clause removes a non-waivable consumer right under the Brazilian Consumer Defense Code when you are a consumer in Brazil.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms when the product changes. The date at the top and the canonical URL then apply to later use. If the change is material (price, what the subscription unlocks, new data collection), the Policy must be updated too.

We may stop offering the app or a feature. A subscription already paid follows the store’s cancellation and refund rules.

If you breach these Terms, the right to use the app ends. Uninstall the app.

10. Law and venue

Brazilian law applies, including the Consumer Defense Code where it applies and the LGPD for personal data. If you are a consumer, venue is your domicile, as the Consumer Defense Code provides.
